AVP News
The Roll of Vice-Presidents is looking a little sparse. Help fill it in. Help Cardiff Schools' Rugby continue in its role of developing potential stars of the future.
DOUBLE FIGURES...
A warm welcome to our 12th VP, Chris Miller (1996-97)...let's hope big brother, Leigh (1991-92), follows his lead.
And another...Paul Barry (1995-96) is our 13th VP. Welcome, Bazza!
From Bazza to Budgie, Matthew Bennett (1995-96) makes it 14. A big welcome and vote of thanks for your support.
As of December 24th (it's his birthday too!), we welcome John Manders (1975-76) as our 15th VP.
We are now at 15 VP's - let's make it 50!

Association of Vice-Presidents
Dear Friend of CSRU,
I hope that this letter finds you in good health and that on surfing the Cardiff Schools' Rugby Union website many fond memories of your time as a Cardiff Schoolboy player/coach/officer are recalled. I write on behalf of the Committee, as both a former Cardiff Schools’ player and present Chairman. CSRU has offered schoolboys the opportunity of representative rugby at inter-district level for 106 years. As much as CSRU prides itself on the past, it is to the future that I must turn.
Presently, CSRU operates two teams at under 15 level. No other Schools’ Union in Wales makes such an effort. Cardiff Schools continues to develop schoolboy rugby players, with 50-60 players exposed to representative rugby annually. CSRU has also seen many of its players represent Wales at senior international level with the likes of Bleddyn Williams, Terry Holmes, Mark Ring, Merion Roberts, Billy Raybould, Ian Eidman, Steve Blackmore, Andy Moore, Jamie and Nicky Robinson, Jamie Roberts and Robin Sowden-Taylor proud to call themselves Cardiff Schoolboys.
The Committee would like to establish a Vice-Presidents’ Association to help finance the continuing development of Cardiff Schools’ Rugby. It has been suggested that an annual subscription of £20.00 would be a suitable donation to support the next generation of Cardiff Caps. CSRU is aiming to host an Annual Dinner [possibly July] and to commission a commemorative VP tie for all to wear with pride and as a reminder of good times.
For those wishing to show their support for a worthy cause please see the link below.
Yours in rugby football,
njh
